UNCLE WILLY'S BLUFF    1982-1984

Uncle Willy's Bluff was the first band Tim joined. It consisted of a few older guys in the neighborhood that were desperate for a drummer for their band. Tim auditioned and got the spot with Bob Dutton and Larry Giambrone on guitars and the search was on for a bass player. Then they were joined by Wik Burnett, who was a guitarist but could also play bass and had strong vocal abilities. At this point the band started coming together. They landed a gig at the "Blackwater Rod and Gun Club" in Jasper, Alabama. Since the club was in a dry county, it had to be privatized to serve booze. It was a cinder-block building with one door and one tiny window about three inches by 6 inches. Just big enough to see who wanted in the door. Eventually membership changed as Adam (a.k.a. Rat Man) and Gary Baldwin replaced Bob and Larry. After the gig at the "Blackwater Rod and Gun Club," Gary was replaced with a keyboard played named George McGowan. Then the band's name was changed to "Pylot" and the group became house band at a small basement club in Jasper, Alabama called "The Cave." Later Tim was replaced with a drummer named, Kid.
